Romantic Wedding at the Mauna Kea Hotel
Lauren and Jarratt chose these five words to describe their dream wedding: Fun, Beautiful, Exciting, Romantic, and Joyful. Our amazing team of professionals ensured that they had all of that and more. An oceanfront ceremony in their desired dream spot at the exquisite Mauna Kea Hotel was just the beginning. Colorful soft tones of florals imported for their wedding by Dellables Floral Design created the vintage elegance desired by the bride. Orchid garlands draping on the chuppah, aisle flowers and chair clusters provided the perfect amount of florals for the photographers to capture all of the accents against Hawaii’s natural beauty. A violinist from Magic Strings played romantic song selections for the ceremony. Trends like the sand ceremony, the Jewish tradition of stepping on the glass at the end of the ceremony, and having a Best Woman instead of Best Man were just some of the personalized elements added to this wedding.
Segue from the ceremony to the cocktail reception at the North Pointe Lawn guests were treated to a lounge set up from Big Island Tents, appetizers and cocktails from the resort, and Hawaiian music and hula performed by Alohi Productions, fulfilling the bride’s vision of Aunties in mumus playing ukulele and dancing hula.
Personal touches such as including wedding photos of their parents on the welome table, signs at the bar, and chalkboard place cards put the couple’s touch on their wedding day.
Then, the drama…the bride wanted peonies and Dellables made sure she had them. She wanted chandeliers and cafe lights and Big Island Tents made sure she had them. She wanted a great fire dancer and Tihati provided the best drummer and fire dancer. Additional decor provided by wedding planner Tori Rogers included LED candles, silver candlesticks, silver chargers, and crystal starfish. An amazing time was had by all.
