I know. Shelbie and Jake look like they just stepped out of a magazine. But this is not a photo shoot. This is a real couple and he is really a decorated officer in the Navy. In fact, Shelbie struggled with some of the decisions because she really wanted him to be a part of the planning process, but he was on a submarine (off the grid) for 8 months! Can you imagine not being able to speak to or see your fiancé for 8 months??? And, I know, a man in a uniform makes us all swoon. But the fact that he surprised her by wearing the uniform for the ceremony was exactly what she wanted, and her groom wore it well! Aren't they a handsome couple?

Shelbie honored his Navy service by infusing blue into the color scheme, making Nautical knots to hold the Table Numbers, and cutting the cake with his saber!

I almost cried when Shelbie's mom approached me at the wedding's conclusion and thanked me for making Shelbie's dream day come true.

Typically we provide some time in the timeline for the bride to change into a second dress if necessary, but this time it was for the Groom. He actually had a suit to change into, and he looked just as handsome!

I love the fun they had during their wedding, too. Whether it was being playful with the croquet or with the cake cutting (Shelbie used his Saber!!), or dancing to the tunes of Shea Derrick and Full Flavor, Shelbie and Jake enjoyed every second of their wedding day. I almost cried when Shelbie's mom approached me at the wedding's conclusion and thanked me for making Shelbie's dream day come true.
