Within 72 hours after your ceremony, your officiant will process your license on line, as we can now do when the couple obtains their license on line.
The normal processing time for your marriage certificate is 3 weeks and it will be mailed to your mailing address that you provided. To order additional copies of your marriage certificate, go to the following website: https://emrs.ehawaii.gov/emrs/. The approximate processing time for the certified copy is 3-4 weeks. There is a fee of $11.50 for the first copy and $4.25 for each additional copy thereafter. Once at the website, go to the couples tab then check the status tab.
You will need to know your LOCATOR ID. You will be able to print your TEMPORARY certificate there. The temporary can be used for health insurance, IF accepted by your employer. It is NOT accepted as proof of marriage for any name changes.
