Hawaii Weddings by Tori Rogers‘ couple Edmund and Saori wanted an oceanfront ceremony and reception, away from the hustle and bustle of Waikiki, on the island of Oahu. And, they wanted it on the most popular date of the year 2014. But, we were able to get a perfect location for them at Paradise Cove. Both the wedding ceremony and wedding reception took place at the Ocean Garden area of the Paradise Cove Luau grounds. It is a beautifully manicured, expansive lawn area that allows for a large group to have an event there, but easily allows for an intimate group to feel comfortable without feeling overwhelmed by the space. Bride and Groom arrived by limousine and wedding guests arrived by a chartered shuttle. Since some guests traveled from Japan and did not speak English, a Japanese/English interpreter was hired to assist with translation throughout the evening. The wedding theme was Elegant Tropical, which carried through the florals, the cake, and the food. I loved the colorful clips to hold each guest’s escort card.
The guest experience was very important to our couple. Two lounge areas were created with teak furniture. The couple provided M&M Snacks, Personalized Chopsticks for wedding favors, and special Shoji! Guests also enjoyed a private Polynesian Revue with a fire dancer following a delicious catered buffet meal, as well as a “Then and Now” slideshow of the couple’s photos. A full open bar was available for the guests, as well as a DJ to get everyone on the dance floor until the end of the event. Professional photography and videography captured many memories created on this day for our couple. The groom was so happy, that he wrote this review: “Tori made sure our wedding off without a hitch. We started planning with Tori about a year in advance from our wedding date. Tori provided us with a multitude of choices. It was stressful to plan from another state and not be able to see anything, but the day of the wedding met and exceeded all our expectations. The vendors that Tori enlisted were truly excellent (venue, catering, wedding cake, entertainment, etc.). And the day of the wedding, Tori really made sure that all we had to do on the day of was to show up and not worry about anything else. We highly recommend Tori if you are planning a destination wedding in Hawaii.” This wedding was VERY detail oriented and not one detail was overlooked. We had so much fun with this wedding!!!
